Garage Floors

The best garage floor for an Okanagan home is a full-broadcast flake epoxy with a polyaspartic topcoat, at $8-$12 per square foot installed. It resists hot tires, road salt and dropped tools, hides dirt, stays grippy when wet, and lasts 15-20 years. Choose polyaspartic-only if you need the garage back in one day.

Basement Floors

Coating a basement floor in Kelowna costs $8-$18 per square foot depending on finish: flake epoxy at $8-$12, metallic epoxy at $12-$18, polished concrete at $6-$14. Basement slabs must be moisture-tested first. Most Okanagan basements sit on grade and push vapour upward, which will delaminate a coating installed over it.

Shop & Workshop Floors

Gym & Fitness Floors

A gym floor coating in Kelowna costs $8-$12 per square foot for a flake epoxy system. In a home or commercial gym the coating goes down first and rubber mats or tiles go over it, which seals the slab against sweat and moisture while giving the rubber a clean, non-dusting surface to sit on.

Tasting rooms do better in polished concrete at $6-$14. Standard epoxy alone survives neither environment.

Auto Shop & Service Bay Floors

Plan a workshop coating around vehicles, tools, spills and cleaning. Define the concrete repairs and available access before selecting a commercial floor system. List fluids, cleaning products and how quickly spills are removed. Chemical compatibility is product-specific and needs checking against the proposed system.

Parkade & Strata Floors

On-grade parkades, storage rooms and strata common areas take a solid or flake coating at $6 to $11 per square foot, installed in phases so parking is never fully closed. A suspended parkade deck over occupied space needs a traffic-bearing waterproofing membrane instead, which is a different trade.

Agricultural & Equipment Floors

Farm equipment shops take a high-build industrial epoxy at $8 to $13 per square foot, specified from jack and equipment point loads. Dairy, milk-handling and food-contact rooms need a coved double-broadcast quartz or urethane cement system at $12 to $18, rated for lactic acid and hot wash-down.
